What is SolAssists?
SolAssists is an institution management platform. One system holds your institution's structure, people, admissions, timetable, attendance, examinations, fees, staff leave and communication — and decides, for every person who signs in, exactly what they are allowed to see and do.
It is used by schools, colleges, coaching centres and other learning organisations. The kind of institution chosen when you are set up changes the words you see (a school has Standards and Divisions; a coaching centre has Courses and Batches), but not how anything works.
The two apps

Signing in to the wrong app is refused on purpose.
How access works, in one paragraph
SOL staff decide which modules your institution has (for example Fees or Examinations). Inside those modules, your administrator gives each role its permissions (for example, Teachers may mark attendance). Each person is given a role over a part of the institution — the whole institution, one campus, or just the classes they teach. A person sees a menu item only if all three line up. Read Roles and permissions before you give anyone access.

Known limits today
- Students cannot be given their own sign-in from the app. Only parent/guardian and staff sign-ins can be created. See Student portal.
- There is no screen for holidays (school calendar). See Attendance.
- There is no online payment. Payments are recorded by the office.
- Payroll, recruitment, transport, library, canteen and hostel are not part of the product.
Modules your institution may not have
A newly onboarded institution gets these modules by default: Dashboard, School Structure, Students, Parents & Guardians, Teachers, Admissions, Attendance, Timetable, Staff Leave and Communication. Academics and Staff are added automatically because Timetable and Staff Leave need them.
People Directory, Study Material, Examinations, Fees and Reports are add-ons. If a menu item in this manual is missing for you, your institution may not have that module — ask SOL. Without People Directory, you cannot create parent sign-ins.
